Reasons To Prepare

You may be thinking "I don't need to be prepared, whatever happens is going to happen and government will take care of me". Look how well they took care of Hurricane Katrina survivors and the people in New York recently. You may simply be putting it off because you are not sure what to do, or where to start. You may even be embarrassed because your friends may think you're crazy. Wait until something actually happens, and it will eventually, and you will be every body's best friend because you are prepared.

There are more reasons to be prepared than the obvious, such as Natural or man made disasters. Here are some more reasons to consider:

  • Power Outages
We have had several power outages all across the country this year.
  • Broken Water main
The Water pipes are getting old in every city, and have not been inspected or replaced in decades.
  • Cut in pay
A cut in pay is likely to happen at any time without very little notice in a poor economy.
  • Job loss
Companies are cutting back on spending and you may be the first to go with 2 weeks notice or less.

In this blog I will cover everything you need to know to be prepared for anything.
If you do not have the means or space to start a huge survival stash, at least stock up on the bare minimum right away.
  1. Plenty of Drinking Water
  2. Cash (banks will be closed in a crisis situation)
  3. Non-perishible food (don't forget a can opener or two)
  4. Survival/Space Blankets
